Seventeenth-century grid-village, arcaded square, light stone and well-held shadow. Our base.
Perched old village six hundred metres above the bay. On the hill side, contemporary properties and large-park residences. Inside the village, dense stone and tight lanes.
The Croisette, the Suquet, the Californie. Three different Cannes, three ways to decorate. The balcony over the bay changes everything, and seafront light asks for materials that do not fade.
Antibes splits in two: the rampart-bound old town, dense and warm, and the Cap d’Antibes, open and tree-lined. Two radically different briefs for the same town.
