Petite Maison Cosy
A twenty-square-metre living space in Le Tignet, on the western edge of the Grasse hinterland. Open kitchen, seating corner and dining corner all on one room. Brief: wake up the atmosphere with a bespoke claustra and discreetly integrate a pellet stove.

The brief held in a sentence. The room was functional but characterless. The client wanted some warmth back, and a pellet stove integrated without breaking the read of the space. Small budget, small volume, big demand for coherence.
We started by drawing a bespoke claustra against the wall facing the entrance. Open shelves for reading, niches for a few chosen pieces, and a passage that gives rhythm to the room without cutting it. Our partner joiner executed it in pale oiled oak, in three weeks.
The pellet stove sits beside the claustra, against the exterior wall for the flue. The visual presence stays discreet because the object was picked in matt black, without ornament, and its height aligns with the first claustra shelf. From the entrance, the eye no longer stops on it.
For the rest, we guided the seating, lighting and palette choices. Raw linen, matt terracotta, pale oiled wood, black iron on a few accents. The client wrote to us two months after the installation: the room had tipped, she finally felt at home.
