Adieu Crépis

The villa had been bought for its volumes and its view, not its decoration. The interior walls were in rustic render, the floors in pale-pink tile, the joinery in dark oak. The owner had his general contractor. He asked us to hold the aesthetic direction during the renovation.

Our first decision was to flatten the render on every interior wall. Main rooms were repainted in a warm lime white, secondary spaces in a deep grey-green to contrast them. The exposed stone in the living room was kept and revived with a soft brushing.

The floors were lifted and replaced by a large-format pale stone. The dark-oak joinery was kept but lightened through sanding and oiling. The openings gained pale sheers and natural-wood outdoor shutters.

Furniture was composed in parallel with the renovation to deliver the home in a single step. Deep sofas in washed linen, straw armchairs, low tables in oiled oak. The pool and terrace were equipped at the same time: teak loungers, stone outdoor table, raw-linen parasol.
